OPEN POSITIONS

Senior DevOps Engineer (80-100%)

Help us shape the future of media technology

You understand that great tech products are supported by strong DevOps practices that complement other teams’ processes while keeping technical debts low. You are someone who sees both the big picture and the finer details. You are interested in working with a JavaScript-based product, and your curiosity drives you to figure out how a product could work even better. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

In the role of Senior DevOps Engineer you will:

  1. improve and develop deployment pipelines and automation processes

  2. support our development teams in deploying our product

  3. dive into existing projects and take on new ones

  4. help with infrastructure adjustments such as scaling, configuration, networking, monitoring and alerting

  5. help develop and operate our Azure-based Kubernetes infrastructure

What you bring

You are experienced in DevOps or have worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer before. You enjoy working in a team as well as taking on tasks independently. You are keen to learn or already know tools and technologies such as Azure, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, CI/DC pipelines, Redis and Kubernetes. You are excited to dive into the world of journalism — and if you have previously worked in a newsroom or media company, even better. You are fluent in German and English, and can translate complex requests into clear, actionable tasks.

What we offer

We are a company of 30 people (and growing) that values autonomy and conscious collaboration. As a member of the Livingdocs team, you can expect:

  1. a hybrid work model: enjoy the flexibility of remote work combined with meaningful in-person connection at our office in the center of Zurich, just 10 minutes on foot from the Main Station

  2. a space where learning and growth is encouraged and we support each other to evolve every day

  3. a culture where your ideas matter and your work has genuine, visible impact

  4. competitive salaries, a yearly generous hardware and personal development budget and team retreats to recharge and reconnect

  5. an office culture that values togetherness with regular check-ins and casual lunch get-togethers for those who wish to join

Your impact

As our Senior DevOps Engineer, you play a central role in shaping the evolution of our company. Your work will directly influence how thousands of users create, collaborate and publish content every day.

Does this resonate with you? Then we want to hear your story. Please send us your CV and a short letter of motivation sharing why this role speaks to you to Sam Friedli at hire@livingdocs.io.

We actively encourage applications from:

  1. people from underrepresented groups in tech

  2. individuals with non-traditional educational backgrounds

Publishing has never been easier with you as our Senior DevOps Engineer.
